Homebase closing down?

I was told by a friend that Homebase in Walton is closing down in the Autumn and to be replaced by some kind of timber merchant. Has anyone else heard anything?

Sadly there was a dead black cat on Rydens Road today, opoosite St Michaels Close. I think it had a blue collar. Looked like a vehicle strike.

I went last week and thought the same. Reminded me of a dentists. I mentioned the brightness and they dimmed the lights which was an improvement although loads of character seems to have vanished. Hopefully they'll put a load of oldie world pictures up or something as so many blank walls.
