Ex-Airbmb boat moored outside The Anglers

I noticed that this boat which has received quite a bit of publicity recently is now moored outside The Anglers. The Walton Regatta is due to take place there this weekend.

I have been doing some internet searches on this boat and came up with so many sites referring to this floating horror. This I hope is not prophetic http://www.surreycomet.co.uk/news/13800 ... ogle_Maps/

Thank you for this.

I drove down Manor Road this morning and caught a glimpse.

Not quite believing what I'd, seen actually turned the car around and went back to have a look.

Couldn't decide what to make of it.

At least I know what it is now. It looks considerably worse from the other side.

Surprised it can just pitch up and stay.

Hillarious..not quite the backdrop wanted by the regatta organisers
Mind you it fits in nice with some parts of the town

I'm not sure that's the same houseboat I saw which was a huge rusty thing in a very poor condition and laden with junk.

Might need to go back for another look.

Oh yeah it's the same old barge but it looks like some extra stuff has been thrown aboard

Seems to be quite an attraction, people have been coming from miles around. Some say the bloke on the top sunbathing this pm is an artist..

This has been moored up at Weybridge since March, recently been moved up the river to opposite D'Oyly Cart then up the cut, now at Walton.
It has no engine, requiring the tug to move it.
It is one of 3 floating "slumboats" owned by Alistair Trotman who seems immune to the Environment Agency and local council controls. For many months 2015 and 2016 it was moored around Teddington area. The EA seem unable to do anything to remove it permanently. I contacted them when it first appeared down at Weybridge regarding potential polution of human sewage into the river.
I suspect it will keep being moved a few hundred metres, presumably each new position needs a new order from EA or Thames Water.

Go then, there are other worlds than these.
