PA Housing

Post by Jonblue » Fri Nov 09, 2018 11:17 pm

Has work completely stopped on the building with PA Housing sign on front - opposite the Wellington in the High St.? Scaffolding has been up for ages with no sign of any workmen apart from the occasional glimpse of a sort of watchman on the ground floor. I just wonder if this project has been affected by the Carilion debacle.

Still no sign of any work in progress on this site -- must be about a year now so clearly there is a big problem somewhere along the line!

I’ve heard after putting out the feelers some months ago, that the companies who started the development went bust.

When I asked why no one else has taken it on, after all it looks well advanced; I was told it was because it’s a social housing scheme.

It will be a year in February since I last saw any work going on there.
