Sunday lunch

Post by jennyrandall » Sun Mar 19, 2017 10:27 am

Where is the best place for Sunday lunch?! I'm thinking quantity, traditional lunch, not too pricey. Maybe somewhere with a nice walk? Walton, esher, sunbury, Weybridge! Any help would be great.
Thanks

Hope you found somewhere nice?

I haven't. Last time was a ghastly Sunday roast at the Barley Mow.

Taken to cooking my own again now.

I agree. The best Sunday roasts that I have are the ones I cook myself.

The Royal George has a good reputation, but I haven't tried it personally.

A bit out of the way , but a nice run along empty country lanes. Try the Plough at Orestan lane Effingham kt245sw. Not cheap but good portions ,well presented. Go via the roundabout of M25 J10 onto the Guildford slip road. The turn off for Effingham is just before the slip road joins the A3 to Guildford. Enjoy.
