Beyond that, Apps Court Farm's FAQ states plainly: "If the weather permits, there will be a Car Boot every Sunday from early March, through to the Autumn." That means a recurring Sunday schedule should never be treated as guaranteed. Before travelling:

Usual dates and seasonal operation

Apps Court Farm's own FAQ describes the car boot sale as running "every Sunday from early March, through to the Autumn," plus, per the farm's general car boot page, "all Spring, Summer, and early Winter Bank Holiday Mondays (weather dependent)." Apps Court does not publish a fixed calendar of exact start and end dates for the season, so treat "early March" and "the autumn" as approximate, not fixed, dates, and check the site for the current position at either end of the season.

Apps Court Farm also hosts large ticketed festivals and events on the same land — its own "About" page lists events such as Boogietown and the Barrio Fiesta, each said to draw over 10,000 attendees on their day. On weekends when a major event occupies the farm, the car boot sale is liable to be suspended, as is the case on 26 July 2026 (see the status panel above).

Opening and closing times

Gates open at 7am for both sellers and buyers, according to Apps Court Farm. The car boot sale is "closed from 1pm" — Apps Court asks sellers who leave earlier to drive carefully and be considerate of buyers still browsing.

Buyer information

Apps Court Farm's own description of the sale is that it offers "a wide range of quality bric-a-brac, collectibles, and bargains." What's actually on sale changes every week, since it depends entirely on which sellers turn up — Apps Court Farm does not publish a stock list or preview.

The farm's published FAQ does not mention any separate walk-in admission charge for buyers arriving on foot; the only fee stated for buyers is the £2 vehicle parking charge below.

Parking charges and arrival advice

Buyer parking costs £2 per vehicle, including motorbikes. Apps Court Farm collects this fee as vehicles leave the site, not on arrival, specifically "to prevent traffic jams on the way in." Have the correct change ready to help traffic move on your way out. Parking is described by Apps Court Farm as close to the stalls and includes accessible parking.

Selling at Apps Court Car Boot Sale

Sellers do not need to book. Apps Court Farm allocates pitches on a first-come, first-served basis: turn up from 7am and staff will direct you to a space. The pitch fee is collected after you've set up, so Apps Court Farm asks sellers to have the correct fee ready to speed things along. A full pitch fee applies if you set up to sell "at any time or any length of time," even briefly.

Both cars and vans are permitted, as are cars or vans towing a trailer — but every trailer must be accompanied by a vehicle that also pays a full pitch fee.

Do sellers need to book in advance?

No. There is no advance booking system — pitches are allocated on arrival, first come, first served. Apps Court Farm's advice to sellers is simply to arrive early for the best choice of position.

How pitches are allocated

Staff direct each seller to a space as they arrive; there's no seller map or reserved pitch numbers published. This means position on any given Sunday is essentially down to arrival time.

What sellers need to bring

• Your own table(s) or a groundsheet — Apps Court Farm does not provide any selling equipment
• The correct pitch fee, ready to hand over once you've set up
• A way to take payment from buyers (cash is the safe assumption — see "Payment methods" below)
• Everything you'll need to take unsold stock and rubbish away again (see "Rubbish and unsold-item rules")

Items that can be sold

Apps Court Farm's FAQ says: "Nearly everything can be sold at a car boot. Toys, books, clothes, paintings, crockery, bikes, shoes, LPs, furniture, sports equipment, garden tools, etc."

Prohibited goods

Apps Court Farm explicitly bans the sale of alcohol, tobacco or other products that require a licence, weapons, dangerous objects, and illegal, copied or stolen merchandise. The farm's FAQ notes that police may be present, and anyone found with banned items "could face criminal charges." Hot food and drink also cannot be sold by sellers, because Apps Court Farm runs its own on-site catering and does not permit other food or drink vendors.

Rubbish and unsold-item rules

Apps Court Farm operates what it calls "a strict no rubbish site" and states it will "charge a penalty for tipping." Sellers should plan to take home everything they don't sell, including boxes and packaging.

Food and refreshments

Concessionary hot food and drinks are available on site from Apps Court Farm's own caterers. No other food or drink vendors are permitted, and sellers themselves are not allowed to sell hot food or drink.

Toilets

Free toilets are provided, including accessible toilet facilities, per Apps Court Farm.

Accessibility

Apps Court Farm states that the farm is accessible for wheelchairs and that accessible toilets and accessible parking are provided. It also cautions that "the ground may be uneven in places" — this is working farmland used for a car boot sale, not a paved or level surface, so wheelchair and mobility-aid users may want to check current ground conditions with the farm directly before a first visit, particularly after wet weather.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a secure lead at all times. Apps Court Farm asks owners to clear up after their pets, and states dogs must not be left in cars.

Apps Court Farm's published information doesn't specify what payment methods individual sellers accept — as at any car boot sale, this is down to each stallholder. Bring cash in a range of denominations as the reliable option; do not assume mobile signal or card readers will be available across an outdoor farm site.

Weather and cancellation policy

Apps Court Farm states it will post any weather-related postponement "in the same place," on the car boot page, "in good time so that you do not have a wasted journey," and also promotes checking via phone or social media. There is no separate published weather threshold (e.g. a rainfall or wind figure) that triggers cancellation — it is at the farm's discretion.

The farm sits close to Molesey, Hampton Court, Sunbury-on-Thames and the River Thames, though it is administratively and postally part of Walton-on-Thames — use the KT12 2EG postcode for sat-nav rather than guessing at a Molesey or Hampton Court address.

Public transport

Apps Court Farm does not publish public transport advice on its own site. Independent bus-timetable data (bustimes.org, using Traveline National Dataset timetables) lists a stop named "Walton-on-Thames, at Apps Court Farm" on a route called "APPS," run by Cardinal Buses between East Molesey / Hampton Court Railway Station and Apps Court Farm — but no scheduled journeys were showing for it when checked on 23 July 2026, and it does not appear among the routes Cardinal Buses currently advertises on its own website. Treat this as an unconfirmed, possibly seasonal or event-only service rather than a reliable regular bus route, and check directly with Cardinal Buses ↗ or a live journey planner before relying on it. A taxi from Walton-on-Thames or Hampton Court railway station is the more dependable option if you don't have a car, especially if you're selling and carrying stock.

Cycling and walking considerations

Hurst Road runs alongside the Thames and connects towards Molesey and Hampton Court, but Apps Court Farm does not publish cycle parking or pedestrian access information, and we have not been able to verify a specific, safe walking or cycling route from the town centre in this session. If you're walking or cycling, plan your route with a mapping app rather than assuming a riverside path runs directly to the farm gate.

Local traffic considerations

Apps Court Farm's own literature is built around a single-file exit — it collects the £2 parking fee as vehicles leave "to prevent traffic jams" — which is itself a strong hint that the exit can back up, particularly around the site's busiest morning hours and on any Sunday when a major festival is also using the farm. Allow extra time, especially for the first hour after gates open and around closing time. We have not found a published traffic or highways advisory specific to car-boot Sundays, so this is general practical caution rather than an official warning.

• Arrive close to 7am for the widest choice, or later if you'd rather browse a quieter, thinner selection and are comfortable negotiating.

Inspect goods, especially electrical or mechanical items, before you buy. Apps Court Farm notes that police may attend, and that anyone found selling banned goods (see "Prohibited goods" above) risks removal or further action.

A brief history of Apps Court Farm

The manor of Apps Court has a documented history stretching back to the Domesday Book. According to the Victoria County History's account of Walton-on-Thames, Richard de Tonbridge held six hides of land at "Ebsa" (Apps), delivered to him by Abbot Wulfwold of Chertsey Abbey as an augmentation of Walton. Ownership passed through a long succession of families over the following centuries — including the D'Abernon, Croyser, Brocas, Agmondesham and Leigh families (the Leighs were created baronets under James I) — before descending to the Earls of Chichester and Dukes of Montagu, and later a series of 18th- and 19th-century private owners.

The manor house was sold in 1898–99 and demolished by the Southwark and Vauxhall Water Company, which excavated the estate for a reservoir. A centuries-old local custom required the estate to distribute bread, ale and a pig to the poor every All Souls' Day; the Water Company contested this obligation until 1903, when the Charity Commissioners set up a trust to fund it instead.

Archaeologically, the Victoria County History records that "four or five British urns were found about 1900 in excavations on the Apps Court estate." Later, in 1988–89, observation during gravel extraction by Surrey County Council and Redland identified a buried former river channel roughly 30 metres wide, running parallel to the Thames — evidence of how the floodplain here has shifted over time, recorded by the Surrey County Archaeological Unit.

Apps Court Farm's own "About" page adds further claims about the site's history that we have not been able to independently verify against an academic or archival source: that the estate covers "more than 80 acres of undulating grassland," that King John visited the manor in the 1200s, and that the American army used the land as a base ahead of D-Day during the Second World War. These are presented by Apps Court Farm as fact on its own site, but we're flagging them here as the venue's own account rather than independently confirmed history.

Today the farm — now largely known locally for its car boot sales — also hosts a fishery, vehicle and container storage, and large outdoor festivals including Boogietown and the Barrio Fiesta.

Local geographic context

Apps Court Farm sits on Hurst Road, close to the River Thames, within reach of Molesey, Hampton Court and Sunbury-on-Thames as well as Walton-on-Thames town centre.
