Rainy Day Things to Do in Walton-on-Thames

Walton-on-Thames has enough indoor options that a wet day doesn't have to mean staying in. Riverhouse Barn and Cecil Hepworth Playhouse both run year-round programmes of theatre, music and family shows, Everyman Walton's sofa-seat cinema is a straightforward fallback, and Rock Up and Elmbridge Xcel give more active options with climbing, soft play and swimming all under one roof.

A short drive out, Brooklands Museum and the London Bus Museum are almost entirely indoors, Mercedes-Benz World's displays stay dry whatever the weather, and Jump In Esher, Chertsey Museum and the World Rugby Museum all make reasonable wet-weather options. A few of these, particularly Brooklands and Bocketts Farm, include outdoor areas as part of the visit, so it's worth packing something waterproof even when the main draw is indoors.
