Empty Chairs is a simple idea: a table is booked with a few chairs left empty, so anyone wanting company can sit down, order a drink if they want one, and talk to someone. The organisers describe it as neither a club, a therapy session nor a networking event, open to anyone aged 18 to 80 and over, with no sign-up, no pressure to spend money and no obligation to stay.
The Walton-on-Thames meet-up runs on the first Monday of each month from 7pm at The Walton Village on the High Street. The organiser’s own listing names 7 September, 5 October and 2 November 2026. Look out for the orange t-shirt.
