The October talk, “Flop! The Stories of Great Disasters From The World of Entertainment”, looks at the artistic disasters that closed studios, brought the curtain down early and ended careers.
The afternoon screening is Song Sung Blue (2025, rated 12), a biographical musical drama following a Midwestern husband-and-wife duo who rise from dive bar gigs to hometown stardom as a Neil Diamond tribute band, starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson.
The talk begins at 11:30am and the film at 1:30pm. Tickets are £5 for the talk or the screening and £8 for both. Seats can be booked through the Riverhouse website, and cash is also accepted at the door on the day.
