Walton Health Centre and Walton Community Hospital are separate sites on Rodney Road, about 100 metres apart, with different postcodes (KT12 3LB and KT12 3LD).
Checking catchment and registering
Most practices only register people who live inside their catchment area, so the nearest practice isn't always one you can join, and a practice can cover streets well beyond its own town. Some also accept registrations from outside their area, usually without home visits. Check before you apply:
- Each practice's profile here links to its page on the NHS website, where you can check a postcode against that practice's catchment.
- NHS Find a GP (external site, opens in a new tab) lists the practices that cover a postcode, and shows whether each is accepting new patients.

The NHS says you don't need proof of address or immigration status, ID or an NHS number to register online (NHS website, checked 21 September 2026). All six practices were listed as accepting new patients when we checked on 21 September 2026; that can change without notice.
Whiteley Village residents
No GP practice has premises in Whiteley Village. When we read it in July 2026, the Whiteley Homes Trust residents' handbook (external site, opens in a new tab) directed residents to Hersham Surgery, which had run occasional clinics inside the village rather than a permanent branch. Check current arrangements with the Trust or the surgery. Being directed to a practice is not the same as being inside its catchment: use the postcode check above.
